Minus 30 would do just fine for making ice at minus 45 to 50 the trucks have trouble running (including my own beast) and my wood pile disappears far too fast.
Its the mildest winter that I can remember so far but with the limited daylight the ice is slowly forming.
For a drill program they could always fly the stuff in but when the road does open its going to be a hectic trucking season. I notice they put in a weigh scale at the bristol pit and are starting to marshal stuff for the winter haul.
The solstace or shortest day falls around the 21 of december. The road may get delayed a bit but Im still betting they will push it through in January.
