Because at the time he was a Republican running for President! And there isn't a damned prominent Democrat who really cares much about Saul Alinsky. He's a bogeyman, and that's it.

BTW never realized how tall Weiner is......6' 4"......always thought he was much shorter.

I bought a used copy of Alinski's book, "Reveille for Radicals", after learning about it from the right wingnuts. I'd never heard of the man. Haven't gotten around to reading it yet..
