The guy on Yahoo board better hopes that the SEC does not findout that he is surfing the net and discussing NON-PUBLIC information. Or, he and his uncle will be sharing the same 4 x 4 cell with a big guy named BUBBA who want to make him and his uncle his girlfriends...hahahaha

Jim,

Can't help you on the rumor, but I can tell you that MUEI has entered into several partnership agreements with MSFT that have been covered by the news media over the last year or so. Again I believe that MUEI is extremely undervalued here at 11 with a P/S around .4 when all the other techs I follow have P/S of 2 or more.

Why might MSFT want MUEI ? MUEI has a first class contract assembly operation for most ANY type of electronic equip. They assemble product for many of the big networkers etc. If MSFT needed the capability to design/assemble/distribute any type of hardware, MUEI would fill the bill. What type of hardware would MSFT be interested in ? CABLE MODEMS, WEBTV boxes and other hardware for its internet ventures maybe ? Net PC's?

With a market cap. of arounf $1B MUEI is pocket change to MSFT. If they need hardware capability, a buyout of MUEI makes sense.

I am long $5k at 16.5 so I would definitely like to see a buyout. But I wouldn't buy MUEI or any co. based on buyout rumors. I'd buy it because:
1. its cheap relative to just about any other stock
2. hopefully the co's inventory problems etc. have already been discounted in the stock price.
3. MUEI sells very little into Asia , but a large $ of components come from there.
4. Revenue is based mostly in US and top line has been growing well. Maybe decreased component costs will help the bottom line (earnings) going forward.
5. Management has definitely screwed up in the past, but IMHO they have realized their mistakes and are pulling all the right levers available to them to turn this co. around and get earnings back on track.
6. Demand for skilled workforce and plant capacity in the IT industry are steadily increasing. If MUEI remains cheap sooner or later a larger fish will acquire it. An acquistion could be days or years away.

Regards,

Lee
