I think the great recession and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have broken the American spirit.. Yes all that plus chronic high unemployment, ugly politics in the age of Obama and the realization by many we haven't had a solid real economy left to grow naturally on it's own merit since Bill Clinton left office and 9/11 hit.

It is numbing to follow all of this shit This is truly fascism ..the old government-military industrial complex that Ike warned us about ...and it appears it may have swallowed Obama too But he was never anything but a delaying action ..sending a black man in behind that Bush catastrophe with non-functioning majorities in either house, what could we really have expected Pulling off the ACA in this environment was probably as much a political win as anything FDR did FDR had popular support Probably a full third of the country totally agree with McConnell and are convinced Americas most pressing problem is anything that Obama is for ..he's a black you know We have observed decades of Americans not being able to recognize what is best for their own self interests ...still voting Republican for no visible reason Think ya gotta add at least some of that to his handicap ...and we better give the next president a functioning Congress in 2014, or it may be over in our lifetimes Those silly bastards will destroy the country with the dual drivers of Greed and racism
