sure use downloader to convert, then update with Datacon.

I hope you go back and look at the posts, you might find somethig there you didn't know.

Experimenting is faster than reading a couple of hundred posts, so here's what I
tried today

I suggest reading the suggested material. Your procedure sounds like too much work. Why not organize these groups into smaller lists. MS explorer and charting can read many differnt directories simultaneously. The only way you will get more than 255 securities in a directory invlolves the MS downloader either to merge as you do or use one of equis's prefered data providers.... There are many alternatives to work around this limitation and use smaller directories... We all have different approaches and the above mentioned threads document many different methods in detail.
