You get results like that when people are greatly uninformed!

Are you aware Nixon was a criminal, racist and god only knows what else. Ever listen to his tapes. He even ordered the IRS to go after his enemies. Lied about Viet Nam. And god only knows what else.

Do you still think McGovern would have been worse? What did Mcgovern ever do, specifically that was so bad??

None of you know anything about McGovern that was bad. You just blindly hate.

Nixon beat McGovern by 520 to 17 in the electoral college, with McGovern only getting MA and DC. He won the popular vote by 23.2% (fourth biggest difference ever), and by almost 18 million votes (largest margin in history). You don't get margins like that because most people see him as too decent. The margins where that big because most people saw McGovern as a left wing extremist.
