WDC dec 1998: Will be at around 20-22. IMHO. I believe that, while they have taken an aggressive stance in write-offs, the bad news will continue to trickle out for 2-3 Qs. They are undergoing continued margin pressure, have to deal with the execution issues around MR (if not the financial side after the write-offs), and may lose market share to three competitors: an agressive and ornery SEG, an IBM that senses an opportunity to establish a greater presence outside its captive market, and an agressive and relatively stronger QNTM, which has a cash-cow in DLT.

The stock may meander up, or dip down, but it will probably stay +- a few points for the next 4-6 months. Then, in Dec 1998 it will probably start an ascent. Either that or it will have been taken over by then.

Just a 30,000 foot view of WDC, not a detailed financial analysis.
