Hi coopie, Mondays are made for CUBE! Nice re-orginization at CUBE...............

C-Cube has combined the system-level settop expertise formerly at its wholly
owned subsidiary,
DiviCom Inc., with C-Cube's digital video silicon developments to form C-Cube's
Consumer
Network Products Division (CNP). This new division focuses on the
revenue-generating digital
video applications that drive digital networks worldwide. By offering settop
manufacturers and
content providers multi-tiered silicon and design solutions, C-Cube's CNP Division
can help
companies such as Zenith and Americast partners to effectively address complex
consumer
network applications.

"By integrating 'best of breed' technologies from C-Cube and others into our line of
advanced
broadband digital settop and network products, we're helping our customers usher
in the digital
age," said Allen Brown, division vice president of the Zenith Network Systems
Digital Media
Group. "Close collaboration, cooperation and teamwork over the past 12 months
have been
essential to support the November launch of the new Bell South all-digital
entertainment service."

"This deployment is a key milestone in the market's movement from analog-to-digital
networks,"
said Nai Ting Hsu, vice president and general manager of C-Cube's CNP Division.
"Our ability to
offer content-rich solutions and multiple third-party applications provides settop
manufacturers and
service providers with a means of adding value to the consumer experience. Flare is
an excellent
example of how C-Cube can minimize the complexity and reduce the overall system
costs
associated with implementing such advanced settop applications."

With the advanced graphics capabilities of C-Cube's AViA-GTX and C-Cube's
unique
understanding of digital systems, Americast can offer unique consumer-friendly
features through
Zenith's digital settop boxes. C-Cube's Flare design allows Zenith to produce a
modular settop
box design to cost-effectively interface with multiple networks, including MMDS, HFC, DBS and FTTC.

Now we're talking!!

Another "hardware assist" crutch for Zoran's SoftDVD................

Rendition's V2200 Powers Zoran SoftDVD Video Player;
Built In Motion Compensation Acceleration In V2200
Brings Full Feature DVD Functionality to Mass Market
Consumers

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 1997-- Rendition, Inc., a leading
developer and supplier of high performance graphic processors, today announced that the V2200
integrated 2D/ 3D and video graphics processor will provide full motion compensation acceleration
support for Zoran Corporation's SoftDVD software application.
Rendition's V2200 support of
SoftDVD will bring the full capability of DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) playback of movies, games
and other 3D applications to the mainstream PC user through leading graphics card and PC
motherboard manufacturers.

Zoran has implemented DVD, a high density CD standard for storing and playing digital movies and
PC games in a software product called SoftDVD. The video component of DVD is MPEG-2,
which generates higher quality video while requiring less storage than previous technologies. One
side of a DVD disc can easily store a high-quality feature length film. Rendition has developed a new
graphics and video processor, the V2200, which accelerates the MPEG-2 video decoding function
called "motion compensation." When powered by Rendition's V2200, PC's utilizing Zoran's
SoftDVD dramatically increase video performance, saving PC processor bandwidth for
computational tasks. When using Rendition's motion compensation hardware with Zoran's SoftDVD,
video frame rate performance improves 15% to 30% over an all-software solution.

"DVD has significant potential to become an important entertainment vehicle," said Mike Boich,
president and CEO for Rendition. "The combination of low cost media and outstanding video quality
will make DVD a compelling technology for a very broad spectrum of users. Low cost
graphics/video processors such as our V2200 will further drive the popularity of this technology by
bringing its acquisition cost within reach of virtually any PC user."

The V2200 utilizes a unique RISC based architecture developed by Rendition to deliver
industry-leading performance with significantly less complex circuitry than any other graphics
processor available today. The broad scalability of the V2200 architecture enables personal
computer and add-on board manufacturers the ability to provide, from a single base design, a wide
range of product solutions at various price/performance levels not previously offered to the
consumer, including a configuration which recently set new 3D performance records. With its single
chip design and support for the Intel Advanced Graphics Port (AGP) standard, the V2200 is ideally
suited for both business and consumer applications.
