Arik, unless we see some more earnigns warnings, this juggernaut will not stop. Then again, earnings warnings could have the same effect as an drug on the virus which became used to it. Chanting the following mantras will also make the market immune for down-turns:
"earnings are good,"
"the economy is in great shape,"
"Asian mess is a glitch and it shouldn't affect us,"
"the Japanse will not sell bonds,"

i.e. as long as there are enough buyer, the above chants will work wonders. When the markets run-out of suckers, it will end in tears. Just as you said.
