Bored by the market, I noticed this.

Even with the OEX, futures and DJIA down....the puts are not increasing in value and early premium stripping in calls has halted.

The possible implication is an afternoon rally.

*AV*--Ahhh my dear Kevin. Obviously you haven't seen Stehen King's "The Langoliers" or read about the damn atomic clock experiment where two clocks, one on earth and one in a spacecraft were compared after a space mission and found to be different. Einstein believed there were bends in the fabric of the universe. Well, bends in the fabric of time may be possible, especially if our known universe is Warped<GGG>.

...how do you revisit something that doesn't even exist?..

Well, we do it evertime we look at a star. That image doesn't exist since it has travelled light years. We see things that may no longer exist due to the time it takes to reach us. Think about this. There are radio waves still pulsing into space with old Abbott and Costello routines. Admittedly, these are waves and not actual mass of substance. But it is a start. Besides, as you approach the speed of light, time should come to a stop or standstill, theoretically. Therefore, the illusion of time comes to a halt. With that said, IF you travel faster than the speed of light, you should jump to the future. Therefore, if there is a future to jump to (which doesn't exist yet), there should be a past one could visit.

Finally, keep in mind that at absolute zero, there is no motion at the atomic level. Does this mean time stands still (the ultimate in suspended animation).

Don't spoil the dream, Kevin. I want to go back in time and buy a few thousand shares of BRKS, DELL, MSFT and INTC at IPO prices. Just let me go back a decade or so. Heck, how about just a few weeks to play the Oct 27th OEX puts or something.<GGG>

Consider the possibilities: Assassinate Hitler, Videotape the JFK Assassination, Prevent the Challenger debacle, Videotape what went on in Nixon's office, Locate Jimmy Hoffa and Amelia Earhart, or even buy the right lottery ticket<GGGG>

The fertile mind is a terrible thing to constrain. Especially one filled with fertilizer, like mine is on the subject of time travel.

Andrew

Re: Time Travel -- Kevin, when you look at a star millions of light years away, you are looking into the past in "realtime". That means that, theoretically, someone from that star may be viewing earth from thousands of years ago. What if somewhere in the middle the light was reflected back to us?
