I've seen several low cost high deductible plans offered on the exchange in my state. 5-10k deductible. Are you not seeing these in yours?

If you really do have plenty (it needs to be a lot IMHO) of equity in other forms then all you have to do is pay the fine for not buying health insurance which the first year is only something like $95 I believe.
