This points out some of reasons why CEOs and CFOs should welcome the evolution of reporting methods that are less of a burden on them and take some of the power away from anals.

Sankar: Excellent article.

"They have increasing power," agrees Jon Tompkins, chief executive of KLA-Tencor Corp., also in San Jose. "They take on a cult following of their own. If one of these very high-profile analysts puts a 'hold' out on KLA, our stock is going down."

Sankar,
I know why CEOs might hate analysts--but Patroller's syntax led me to believe that he was saying that the CEO of QNTM's supplier hated QNTM; I misinterpreted.
Thanks for the link. Nice, candid article.
