Hi Steve

The one issue I have with ETEL is its quality of service. The company runs on an ethernet LAN and makes voice quality subject. I think that ETEL is a very interesting comapny but its technology is limited.

I don't know if you are familiar with Xinex Networks out of BC, Canada, but you should be. The comapny has a product called "Vortex" that allows for the simultaneous delivery of voice, video and data to the desktop computer over normal phone wires. Like ETEL, Vortex integrated the PBX and the LAN howerver, Xinex uses ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) as its method of delivery. Everyone seems to acknowledge that ATM is the best method of delivery as it provides perfect quality of service but it is costly becuase of the ATM switch. Xinex has removed the necessity of the switch thus making the system very cost effective.

Lastly, Xinex which trades on the Alberta Exchange (ticker symbol XNX) has a nice low canadian valuation. The Company has a market cap of $7 million US versus over $35 million for ETEL. Xinex has association in place with BC Tel, Active Voice and others. I would love to hear your comments.
