Emile, I had decided not to answer your post because of the intensity you have toward something you have never been a part of and your information is questionable. Talmudic Judaism is only a very small part of Judaism. Its like a Bob Tilton group within a large group. To point fingers and criticize people not in the faith of Jesus is a total waste of everybodys time. In one of the post I made you will see how God used His love to bring a high member of the new age movement to the Lord. But if I had started by nit picking them apart that would have fit the stereo type miserable angry intolerant unloving christian that has so plagued or faith for years. God does not need us to condemn the lost they are already in that state what He does want is for us to love those that are not loving us back and encourage them to come into a relationship with a Faithful and loving God thru Jesus Christ our Lord. If I were not a believer yet and read your post I as a Jew would have no interest in knowing the Lord and I think that is sad and unneccessary. Nancy

My dear Emile, I know you would not be so passionate on this subject as you are if you didn't know a lot about it. Like Nancy said,
the Talmud was a post-Jeshua creation of the Rabbi's, no?

I don't think it has a hint of existence in the Bible.

If then you might be willing to discuss these things we could start a thread called:Talmudic Judiasm and the Kabala, and how it compares to the original scriptures, if at all, and what it might really mean after all. I think you would do some people a service by bringing things that are wrong to light. I would be educated about something I know minus-0 about, all I know is the Old Testament, and really have spent lots and lots and lots of time there. AND LEARNED A LOT. A WHOLE LOT.

(For the life of me I can't see how I could cut myself off from the Old Testament, as it would be so strange I'm not sure I would lhave the balance of the Heavenly Father, versus the beautiful reality of who He really is in the Son. I just can't separate the two, and to know the Heavenly Father, I have to have the Old Testament.)

Again, is this a totally divine Check and Balance System, without which it--the Plan of God the Father and Salvation only through the Son-- does not work properly. Is that the scripture Nancy quotes, Mark 5, which I have read before but never thought of in that light.
Could it be there to keep the balance, lest we would think of throwing all teaching of the Father in Heaven out?

Let's face it, Emile, where did Jim and Tammy come from. Mostly almost every last word just quoting Paul on giving whenever asked and not judging no matter what. That's almost like a new gospel to me. If they had not numbed people with their songs and dance and worldly prattle , somehow made acceptable with the shrill shouting of "Praise God isn't Jesus Wonderful", how far would that have gone? I really wonder, since there was not in all of history any precedence for anything like it. And that came on the breathe of the Jesus Movement, and that made it possible, and it fed on the Jesus Movement like a tick on a hound, too. Hey, you think the Talmud gets you about upset, you should see me really get upset about our side of the nightmare. I go ballistic untill someone settles me down, for sure.

Would you please pray about taking the time to spend on a thread where everyone could spend the time they wished just sorting out the truth of the Old Testament from the lies of later work. I know they are lies, and they need to be shown in love that this is a trip going nowhere. I have some biker friends who were even into the Kabala, for pete's sake, THE KABALA. Why, because it really is used by
those who are looking to go from "white magic" on to the real stuff of black magic, and you will find the Kabala there all the time. It is an occult study leading back to ............could it be...........Yes! It could.

I don't know if this idea appeals to Nancy, but I think she would be a perfect person to enter into discussions that would throw light on what might be pure darkness. And I don't doubt that at all, Emile. Not at all. I know that the most "beautiful" psycho-babble new age things, just like Nancy experienced, are frightening in retrospect.
Yet here is a room of smiling people and everybody gets sucked in. And of course there is Prosac, to pick up the dead souls that get to depressed from a godless life they can barely continue. Then they pop their Prosac and I'm sure the New Age movement really seems like more fun.

This is a serious tragedy, and I think that it woud serve the plan of God in all our lives to get it out front and in the light, and for some reason SI seems to be a very special place, with many very special people, and who knows, some of the ones who pop in and out here might actually be intellectually intrigued by the comparison to the actual history of the scriptures. And come and learn something.

What do you think, Emile, Nancy, is this a good idea? I personally love the idea already, because I don't know what Emile knows, and I would like to. I know that few people on Earth can rival me as far as hating lies of satan, and it would be wonderful to lift up rocks and find the real intent of some of the human inventions and works that abound. There is "The Secret Gospel of Thomas." I heard about it and picked it up in a Libaray, sitting right there to grab attention, and it is such a man-made pile of offal that I do not have words to continue.

I think that if we were to examine the Talmud, and contrast it to the Old Testament and the New, it would be a most edifying experience.
Also, is there a year reference for the Talmud. First century? Later.

I think this is an opportunity that should not be lost.

Emile, my dear brother in Christ, for all the good in your heart I hold
nothing against you for being perhaps overly true to the Lord in this
one scriptural area. The nice thing is it has brought Alan and Nancy to the thread, and others that have so much more to contribute to the fullness of Christ that I believe this is a true blessing. But if you would be willing to explain the things that have made you nearly unable to keep anything of the baby whatsoever after throwing out the bathwater, that will still be good for a lot of us to add to what we still don't know. Frankly, I was not aware the Talmud was such a stumbling block. I only knew of the Talmud. Again, I think a truly marvelous study would be to compare them both to the truth. But then I thought the Talmud and Torah were the same.
So that's how much I know. Not a lot!

All Things Work For Good For Those That Are In Christ Jesus.

What you say is total truth, the scriptures of the New Covenant and the truth that the Talmud would erase Christ from the face of the earth if such were possible, I'm sure. But this total truth has slowly changed into a ship without a rudder, careening out of control for some time and becoming a doctrine upon which the disturbed can base a homicide.

I believe our Lord must have a reason for this happening here, on this tiny thread lost in a web so large it cannot be imagined right now what it really is. Yet here we are. Maybe it is here the balance of the realities can be restored, and once restored, thoughts have wings and fly where the Lord sends them.
