Those defenders at Benghazi had felt those seconds turn to minutes and minutes seeming like hours...waiting for the response and as time wound down they realized they were tossed under the bus. I know many people that could have afforded response are shamed. Even though ordered to stand down, they believe they should have assisted anyway. The men who died were true heroes offering cover for the escape of others. They should have their own monument.
