Elop would be a fantastic choice. But I don't think Elop would leave Nokia unless MS acquired them.

I find it fascinating that Balmer was in talks with Elop to acquire NOK just a couple of months ago when Balmer must have surely known he was preparing to leave MSFT . I am thinking of the Applied materials /Varian semiconductor arrangement and so I am wondering out loud if that transition was part of the entire package discussion....recall the rumors last June
