John, Sorry that I forget to mention the real "kicker".

Zenith will earn a royalty (est., about $3 to $10 per "box") on every HDTV, SDTV, STB and computer capable of receiving Zenith's patented VSBi transmissions.

Let's assume that beginning in 1999, (in the US alone) that 50% of the new computers and 75% of the new TVs and all the STBs will have the necessary chip sets/decoders/encoders to receive the VSBi transmissions and Zenith charges $5 royalty payment per "box". This could well total 20-25 million "boxes" for an additional revenue stream of $100 million or more to Zenith in 1999!
