No is the answer--as you well know. I'm not a social scientist.

My point is one can belittle any kind of data all day long--and that has it's uses and misuses, but IMHO the national discussion about this needs to move a substantive format. Are the children of welfare succeeding or not, and if not, then what are we going to do about it?

Data is the way to remove heat and shed light on the problem.
