9/6/13 Contest Update Neither another impending Middle East quagmire, a jump in interest rates, nor September taper talk could taper investors eagerness to acquire stocks. And at Friday’s close the Contest median was up 52.73% YTD (vs. up 46.46% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 47.11% YTD (vs. up 41.38% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 21.21% YTD (vs. up 18.89% YTD a week ago). RKRW’s portfolio, up 110.71% YTD, managed to hold on to the Contest top spot for a second week, but with just a razor thin lead over second place BLADE’s portfolio, up 110.09% YTD. FILO’s portfolio, up 94.53% YTD, maintained a grip on third place. At Friday's close, 37 of the 39 Contest portfolios were still in the black with 24 of the 39 beating the NBI.
