Caption this! WH thought this disgraceful photo was cool

A photo of President Obama with his foot up on the Oval Office desk sent Americans into a tizzy Sunday asking where his respect for the highest office in the land went, with one person saying, “Get your damn foot off the people’s desk.”

The Drudge Report published the photo and Twitter exploded with reaction from people complaining about Obama’s foot on a piece of historical furniture to the gun shape he’s making with his right hand.

Here are some of the tweets via Twitchy and Twitter, kicked off by Lou Dobbs:

I don't think anyone argues that that wouldn't be great.

The argument is about how best to make that happen.

What isn't really arguable, at this point, is that every significant federal government action in pursuit of that goal has backfired and the result has been that the people who were to be helped were instead harmed.

At some point we, as a nation, have to learn that government is highly ineffective at helping the poor.

Al,
I can't think of a nobler goal.

We're never going to end poverty. That's a pipe dream.

It's our moral obligation to help the poor. Liberals don't want that.

Instead, they want to create a utopia where such an obligation isn't required.

That explains, among other things, why liberals will hardly ever help the poor themselves, but will always vote to have government help the poor.
