Frank,

I agree that the response to an Intel agreement would have been much different - but I think that would be justified. Intel has 90% of the PC market and a rapidly growing share of the server market. In what sector (for which voice recognition would be an important technology) is Siemens' market share that dominant?

So I don't agree that "the fundamentals would be exactly the same" without some further support for that statement.

Bob

Frank,

One more comment - even with an Intel agreement, I don't think fonix would be anywhere close to $10 today. I've followed some of the other companies that Intel has partnered with, and I'm not aware of any that have doubled that quickly. Rambus, ETEC, and MRV Communications are the best examples of a positive "Intel effect", and these companies had MUCH more solid balance sheets than fonix. Can't even be considered comparable. I do agree that fonix stock would get a significant pop, but perhaps $7 or 8 (i.e., 50% increase), not a quick double. All speculative, of course; it does seem likely that Intel took a good hard look and passed on fonix.
