You're always quick to point out GTW's lack of a sub $1000 system as it's big downfall. Well if you think the profit margins are small for a $1999, you should see them for a sub $1000 system. The reason GTW doesn't sell such deep low-end systems is because they can make quite a bit more from the higher end. Berating them for not having a low end, and not making any money on the higher priced systems doesn't make any sense to me.

SB, The system I was talking about is described again to save anyone from searching back to see what we are talking about. Pentium II 266 64MB RAM 4GB Hard drive 4MB video card 17" Monitor Altec Lancing speakers Modem with Speaker phone Win 95 Loaded plus their Microsoft home bundle It looks like this is a kick bu-- kind of system for $1999.00 I called 1-800-GATEWAY and they said that the package could be upgraded to Microsoft Office Pro for $199.00. Not bad!
