I stand corrected. If you add the 12.9 million in one-time charges back to the .3 available to common shareholders, you get 13.2 million on 44.9 million shares or .29 per share, which is above the .23 concensus. Still, I don't think all these charges will be received favorably and top-line year-over-year growth for the quarter was only 15% (26% for the FY). Sequential revenue growth was only 9.5% for what was supposed to be their strongest quarter. Expense control looks good, sales & marketing, R&D, G&A all down. There's no mention of product mix (AS/400 vs. UNIX) & no mention of an NT version.

I still say it'll be a down day tomorrow.

Warren,

Thanks to you for an insightful post and all the others who've contributed. My first quick thoughts after seeing the press release weren't some of the best observations I've ever made. I still feel uncertain about what will happen tomorrow. The stock may not be off to the races.

They certainly squeezed their expenses to acheive what they did this past quarter.

Regards,
James
