Trust me, the $31 figure you mention is not reflecting these results. Even the remarkably prescient downgrade by rick sherlund anticipated an in-line quarter. It just goes to show you, Larry Ellison is a such as meglomaniac that he may even beleive his own lies about the company's prospeects. Tomorrow, the analysts that het the story will have all the credibility and the ones that have been pounding the table will have none. Nice job, Chris Shilakes! Looks like all your contacts at Oracle did you no good.

I can't predict how bad it will be but I'd guess stock sees the low to mid 20's. Maybe a dead cat bounce to $26.

Well, it looks like my long term thesis about this company as toxic waste may be coming true. Too bad, I like the alliances they're pursuing in the applications business, but it gets hard to invent big new businesses when your core business has matured.

I really don't think that ORCL EVER wins the earnings game. Even when they meet or beat by a few cents, it doesn't seem to make a difference -- it always seems to go down, then slowly rise again on news. Relax. You (and I ) own part of a very good company here in this one. If you really need cash, then sell. If not, think long...and about buying more if we take a dip into the 20's.
