9/20/13 Contest Update Apparently, the A to the Q&A on QE depends on which FRB member is queried. On Wednesday, investors were pleased with the A; on Friday, not so much. Nonetheless, despite investor ambivalence, it was another winning week for the Bulls. At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up a sizzling 59.06% YTD (vs. up 55.84% YTD a week ago). Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 53.34% YTD (vs. up 51.36% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 25.01% YTD (vs. up 23.27% YTD a week ago). Our leader, RKRW’s portfolio, continued to dazzle, finishing the week with a breathtaking 149.17% YTD gain. However, second place BLADE’s portfolio, up 132.51% YTD, also had a hot week and remains in contention. FILO’s portfolio, up 104.22% YTD, held on to third place. At Friday's close, 38 of the 39 Contest portfolios were in the black with 23 of the 39 beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list.
