Foreigners say they are no longer surprised at U.S. gun violence

LONDON — Jimmy Davis, a 41-year-old London disc jockey, was saddened when he heard about the latest mass shooting in the United States. But like much of the world after the attack at Washington’s Navy Yard on Monday, he was no longer shocked. The United States is a place where “buying guns is like buying sweets from a sweet shop — it’s no problem,” Davis said Tuesday on a busy shopping street in southwest London. “So when we hear there are shootings like this in America, we are not really shocked. Know what I mean?”

I went gunless for many years after disposing of the small arsenal I inherited from my father. What brought this about was a situation where I thought that if I could have gotten to a gun, I'd have shot a guy it turned out I didn't have to.

So, I went about 20 years with no guns at all. At some point, I realized Republicans were buying guns left and right, and I thought that as a representative of the other team, I should arm myself again too.

Now, I just want my "Armed Liberal" bumper sticker!

<<<< We're fucked and there's not much we can do about it>>>>>

If that's really the case then we all best get our arsenal and protect our families. My gawd, I never blamed a deity. I blame people. We came through the hate of the Indian conflicts, the civil war and the atrocities of Hitler - I think we can come through this too. .........BUT, not by hating each other.
