Maybe (certainly in your mind), but your quote didn't support your point, instead it (weekly) supported the other side.

It looks that way to you because that's what you want to believe. You don't look at climate change at just one data point. Its the collection of data points that paint the picture. In Seattle, we had 5 T-storms during this past summer.......the latest one delayed Sunday nite's game. So your response..........what's the big deal.......DC has T-storms pretty much every week in the summer. The difference.........I've been here nearly 15 years. I have never seen a T-storm in the summer. Before this summer, we had 3 T-storms during those 15 years.........all in the winter. Coincidentally, August was the first month in Seattle's history that the average low was at 60º. Up til this point, the average love for any month always has been below 60º....significantly below.

All these collected data points suggest that something profound may be happening. We should be working together to offset the danger. Instead at this late date, we have you all trying to prove climate change is hokum.

* Colorado: "The torrent of water that gushed over and down the Rocky Mountains late last week resulted from a fateful confluence of geography and weather. While the deluge is unprecedented in the historic record, it may offer a window onto the new normal as the planet continues to warm."

* Former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.) told MSNBC this morning that there's a " sense of madness" in the GOP right now. "You have people in my party who didn't come to limit government, but to stop it"
