ATM is going to explode in 1999 and 2000, IMHO. So far, only ATM core backbone vendors like NN and NEC make nice profits not ATM LAN access and switch vendors. FORE is a good example for this. It was a super star specilized in ATM LAN access and switch. But, it fell from $60(?) to $40 last year and then slided to $10 early this year. Why? It is because any quality startup network company with a sound financial backing can design a decent ATM access and switch product in a very short period of time due to easily available ATM chip sets and software. However, I believe that if YURI can sustain for two more years with a sound product line, it will be doing great then.

YURI just acquired Data Labs. I think it may be a mistake. I know a similar ATM vendor like Data Labs and its products have no significant markets at all, IMHO.
