I have maintained forever that Medicare and Medicaid should be privatized and that that would eliminate most of the problems with our health care system, Not without significantly raising Medicare taxes....don't come back with the tired BS of fraud and waste etc...even if eliminated completely it would not make up the difference in the resulting increase of cost to seniors and it would be replaced by industry profits...nor would it be eliminated by the way, since private insurance has its own problems with fraud and waste. and most notably, bring costs down radically. There is no evidence that suggests that this is the case. For seniors costs would go up significantly according to most studies. Al
