Actually Tim, to drill over 100 feet, you do need a different permit than if you're drilling under 100 feet. I don't know how much more difficult it is to get the deeper permit, but it is more difficult. As far as mining the ore is concerned, I don't know if there is also a 100 foot threshold for greater permitting requirements; however, I'd expect that the deeper you mine and therefore the closer you get to underground aquifers, the more onerous permitting becomes.

Does anyone have URLs that explain the drilling and mining permits for BLM land?

Tim, the issue is the water table (>100 ft.) and special permitting to drill into it. We discussed that with you before when we were discussing deep drilling, you can search for it.
