You make some valid points but then slip into emotional exaggerations. The Catholic Church never condoned child abuse. The Church never condoned homosexuality. The Church din not condone "torture and murdered true believers throughout the ages." Some men belonging to the Church committed some of these things, but none of them were ever condoned by the Church. Some bishops and priests committed horrible sins while serving as bishops and priests but the Church never condoned their sins. Some Church leaders were not diligent enough in administering their discipline but you have to remember that the Church is all about mercy, forgiveness and love. How many sins have you committed that would be an abomination if they were discovered? Many, but you have been forgiven How would you handle a homosexual that is truly repentant if you were a position of leadership? etc. etc.

The center and the core of the Church where the Holy Spirit reigns has always been holy and pure.

Let's look at the Old Testament religion (church). Was it ordained of God? Yes, Was it always pure and without sin? No. Did it commit horrible horrible sins? Yes. Looks at the sins of the sons of Eli! Look at the atrocities committed in battle where the killed all men, women and children. Look at the idolatry, the mammonism, etc. etc. etc. The worst of all the sins the Old Testament leadership committed was the not recognizing Jesus as the Messiah and then having Him crucified on false charges. Was the Old Testament religion (church) disbanded by God when the leaders sinned. No! They remained until the fullness of the New Covenant came into force.

"You will know them by their fruits."

Over the centuries, the Catholic Church has converted more people to the faith, fed more hungry people, stood up for more poor people, preached more Gospel sermons, and taught more children the faith than all the Protestant denominations combined.
