Obamacare forces people out of medically underwritten plans initiated after 3/23/2010. It's illegal to medically underwrite plans under obamacare. Therefore, my only option for insurance will be the obamacare exchange which would more than double my premium. Unless a change is made to the law, I will probably drop health insurance.

You realize the premiums will be up sharply over future years. I'm also looking at future premiums. Most individuals can't afford to subsidize other people's preexisting conditions. The individual policy market is too small. It would be better to set up a separate fund and let all taxpayers cover the very sick.
