Ed- FIBR is ahead of it's competition by about 6 - 9 months with it's WDM product (check the Data Communicaions article I posted some time ago), and it's background in networking protocols sets them apart from most of the upcoming competition. As far as the patents, Par stated yesterday on the conference call that they are in the process of patenting their products.

>>Then again, FIBR emphasised that their swith product was focused at the departmental and small branch office market. The switch product sale tumbled one quarter after another<<

What are you talking about? Where did you get that info from? FIBR's switches are one of their hottest selling items, and in the recent past, they have had trouble keeping them in stock.

As far as ABCN, Osicom has absolutely no control of when it happens, but they certainly do with the Gigamux. Read the 2 articles from my last post from EE Times.

>>Did you check if FIBR holds any patents in this field(DWDM)?<<

Par clearly stated in the conference call that he did not want to discuss the complicated DWDM technology until after the patents are filed in the near future, after submitting the patent application he would be glad to send out a copy of the patent application.
