OK, you make some silly statement about goal-seeking quantum particles, then fall back on it being a "metaphor." That doesn't make any sense. There is goal seeking, just ask those little oxygen atoms which just love filling those last two electron slots in the outer shell (fire, rust & explosions) Or carbon atoms with 4 slots empty which can accept electrons That is just matter obeying physical laws. No goal there. from other atoms to form super long chains, the basis for organic life itself, Life involves more than just long chain molecules.
