Oh, now you will argue that when anyone disagrees with a poll or the polling methodology, it's because of partisan bias!! The general retort here is something like "give me a break." Polls are no better than the care with which they are done.

I have no reason to disagree with the care done in putting together that poll. Looked very professional. And was done by top of the line professionals. I'm quarreling with the transparent (bless them for this) categories they used for the various groups they put in the middle group. The reason for making such decisions clear is so that folk like us can see whether we agree with the approach or not.

I, quite frankly, don't know how the "middle box" would vote on any given issue. Nor, I suspect, would any of the pollsters who put that together. Well, there might be one or two directly related to a question. But no one should generalize from that poll to support for a given presidential candidate. At least not from folk in the "middle boxes."
