Leeza, WOW, that is excellent analysis and is much appreciated.

I have stated several times that the $40 rumor price is way too low,
and part of my reason for discounting the rumor(s) is just what you have
so eloquently stated. I had figured low $50s as reasonable, but $48-$49
works almost as well. :-)))

Now, how does one justify paying $48-$50 when the stock price was
going for $22? Well, first you have to get the stock up to say the
mid-$30s, I would think.

A partial leak is one possible way (not saying this happened). Another
way is to confirm "comfort" with good (but very doable) earnings and
then come in above that level.

Leeza,

Excellent analysis! Please post more often. Interestingly, your $48 figure is the same as that conjectured by Maverick several months ago, which was based on (8 * sales)/200MM shares.

Great post Leeza. ASND is a larger company than Stratacom. In the DMG study was there any relationship between PSR takeout price and the absolute size of sales, especially after normalizing for the other factors? Does the ratio go down as the company gets larger, all other factors equal?

Leeza, with a "Z":

Great analysis. Let's hope for your $48 target to come true.

My target price is $100. Why ?
Because ASND is NOT for sale. The romantics on this thread somehow just seem to forget that the CFO said, ASND is NOT for sale. Asnd will thrive on its own, but short term ASND will take a bow of humility. Its funny how before Maria B. blabbed a rumor, they all laughed at me for some speculations. I guess if it is on TV, it must be true !! She gave us an opprotunity and only the prudent took it, not the romantics. There is a time and place for romance, and ASND should not be the aquisition of any lonely heart. So as cupid yanks the arrow of love from Asnd's many courting mates, I shall sit back and read all the heart broken, Doom & Gloom posts of her many scorned.
