It took this Delaware woman 11 days to sign up for Obamacare – and she was the first 8 watch-dog

Obamacare's Failure In One Chart

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/17/2013 21:04 -0400

Obamacare Reality

inShare7

Confirming our fears from a few days ago, the early numbers are in for Obamacare... and they are not good. Of course, listening to "bloggers" an be bad for your health, but it seems, very few of the million of "uninsured" have decided that it is as crucial as the "leader" has exclaimed. As Millard Brown Digital reports, fewer than 1% of those trying to register for health insurance under Obamacare have completed the enrollment process. The following inverted pyramid highlights the dismal reality of the Affordable Car Act so far...

Via Compete.com,

Over the course of Obamacare’s first week, 9.5 million people visited healthcare.gov, the federal government’s official healthcare website and the de facto exchange for residents of two thirds of the states. In addition, the 16 operational state-run exchanges combined to attract over 3.1 million visitors during the same period. In total, 11.3 million consumers visited the federal and state exchanges during their first week of operation. Unfortunately, what started as a fire hose of interest, resulted in only a small trickle of actual healthcare enrollments.

...

In the end, just 36,000 consumers, or 1% of all those who attempted to register for the federal exchange, successfully enrolled in Obamacare.

Those curious to learn more about the Obamacare exchange rollout trainwreck can do so here.

Even Liberal New York Getting Hurt By Obama-Care
By Chris Vaca on Oct 17, 2013 in Opinion, Politics

Little by little the truth is coming out about Obama-Care, and the stories are not good. Even New York, a Liberal strong hold that sang the praises of Obama-Care is starting to learn the truth, and it’s only the beginning, the worst is yet to come.

Obama-Care was supposed to offer more choices, but New Yorkers shopping for medical coverage stand to be shut out of two of the city’s most prestigious hospitals. Only three of the nine plans being offered on the New York State Health Exchange cover bills at NYU and New York-Presbyterian medical centers, The Post has learned.

Those who opt for the other six plans will either have to go elsewhere or pay steep out-of-pocket costs, officials said.

Records show that New York-Presbyterian, the largest hospital system in the nation with 2,236 beds, is an in-network choice only for the United, Emblem and Aetna plans when chosen through the exchange.

The New York University system, which as 1,069 beds at its main Langone medical facility as well as its Hospital for Joint Diseases, has deals with Affinity, Fidelis and United, and for individuals with Oxford-United for small groups.

NYU and New York-Presbyterian continue to accept most commercial health insurance that is not regulated by Obama-Care.

“It’s a desperate attempt by the insurance companies to try to keep premiums down under Obama-Care. The only way to do that is to cut the number of hospitals patients can see use,” said Josh Archambault of the Foundation for Government Accountability.

Anthony Feliciano, director of the watchdog Commission on Public Health Systems, worries that the neediest New Yorkers will have the least choices, a medical network version of red-lining.

“If hospitals want to limit the number of health plans they accept,” he said, “they’re limiting the population that goes to the hospital.”

Brooks White, a property and casualty insurance lawyer from the Prospect Park section of Brooklyn who is considering enrolling in Obama-Care next year, called for an overhaul of the system. “My wife uses NYU. I wrote to my state senator. My issue is that all the hospitals really should be participating at every level of the plans,” White said. “If you don’t have a deep supply, you have nothing. It’s a false promise.” This is a story I got from the New York Post.

This is only one story, we can expect to hear more and more as time goes by. The great Obama-Care is a joke and a destructive force to our country, as people are starting to learn. We are learning that everything that Obama told was about Obama-Care was a lie, but most of us already knew that. But rest assured, that no matter how bad Obama-Care proves to be, there will be those devoted Liberals who will sing its praises, even as our economy goes down the toilet.

This is exactly why the Feds should not have a hand in ANYTHING that should be the responsibility of the STATES.

Let the STATES decide how they want to govern and compete for the populace.

That is the FUNDAMENTAL reason for the Replublic's design via the Constitution.

LIMITED Federal Government and States RIGHTS.

Sentence for Voting Twice in 2012
Claims he was drunk, high on election day

    AP

    BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff
    October 17, 2013 3:19 pm

Chad Gigowski, 28, was sentenced to six months in jail by a circuit court judge Thursday for voting two times in the 2012 presidential election.

Gigowski told the judge he committed the crime under the influence of drugs and alcohol, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

    According to the Sentinel:

“The court will agree this is the most serious of all election fraud” offenses, Landgraf told Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Timothy Witkowiak. “Someone is seeking to dilute the vote of others…. It goes against the fundamental principle of one person-one vote.”

Landgraf said Gigowki’s offense was deliberate. He used an old driver’s license to vote early on election day in Greenfield and signed a form stating he was a Greenfield resident. Later that day, he used a Department of Workforce Development letter, addressed to him at a Milwaukee address, to register and vote in the city, and also signed a form that he hadn’t previously voted in the election.

Landgraf said that because it’s “not difficult to in fact steal someone’s vote or vote twice,” the system “invests quite a bit of trust in the individual voter,” and that Gigowski abused that trust. He said the public needs to know such a violation will result in incarceration.
