It is not just the coverage they don't need. The fundamental problem is that insurance which covers the low end and the expected end of the spectrum is stupid and highly destructive to price control. Obama completely fails to understand this. So he will screw himself in the longer run.

AFAIK, the vast bulk of people yapping about healthcare don't have a clue what is driving the cost spiral, and much of what Obama has done is simply making it worse. So we will get the consequences for a year or two until reality dawns. My guess is that both the 2014 and 2016 elections will show the results of such reality dawning, and Obama and the Dems for some inexplicable reasons are currently oblivious to what is coming.

"This is not "bad" insurance. "

Buying cheap insurance is not a proper test. A proper test is filing claims, and seeing if they don't drop you if you get seriously sick. Which many insurance companies can do, with no consequences whatsoever.

How do you know what you will need?

<<What is bad for them is being forced into higher priced policies that has coverage they don't need or want and maybe cannot easily afford.
