I see it pretty much as you do, but I think a lot of Tea Partiers won't vote rather than vote for Christie, so he'll need a LOT of crossover and independent support to beat Hillary. Christie will be the 2016 Romney or McCain - the centrist, "sellout" (R).

Democrats Can Run But Can’t Hide From Vote to Force Americans Off Their Health Care PlansPosted by Jim Hoft on Friday, November 1, 2013, 10:48 PM

Three years ago, on June 17, 2010, the federal government released estimates on the number of employer plans that would be cancelled due to Obamacare.
Via Powerline:

Three months later, on September 29, 2013, Senate Democrats voted unanimously against a resolution that would have allowed Americans to keep their insurance plans.

Every Democrat voted against it.

The text of the proposal S.J.RES.39.PCS reads:

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Congress disapproves the rule submitted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Department of Health and Human Services relating to status as a Grandfathered Health Plan under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (published at 75 Fed. Reg. 34538 (June 17, 2010)), and such rule shall have no force or effect.

Every single Democrat voted against the legislation. The legislation failed.

More than two million Americans have already lost their health care coverage due to Obamacare.

Obama officials in 2010 knew that up to 93 million Americans would be unable to keep their health insuranceplans under Obamacare. That means roughly one of three Americans will lose their insurance thanks to Obamacare.
