I would understand if he decided the old user base was static or decaying and wouldn't make the site a future star; then it would make sense to bring in a dynamic new crew and start marketing the hell out of the site to get new members. None of that is evident anywhere. SI has no public profile outside its own site. Less than 50 Twitter followers, a Facebook page that is much less active than most of my friends, etc. No partnerships with any prominent social media or investing sites. So if he is not going to make the effort and spend the $$$ to build a new membership base, the only audience left is us, the old base. But we are getting treated like mushrooms (kept in the dark and covered in crap) while they make a lame attempt to generate some revenue. It doesn't add up.
