Assuming the buyout rumor is true, I surmise that the companies, along with their respective armies of attorneys, investment bankers and accountants, are putting the deal in final form. For example, price, structure, tax consequences, respective roles of managements, buy-outs, sales of unwanted sections of ASND, head-count, public relations, checking with existing client base, etc

Darrell,

I would agree, and my gut says that something was wrapped up by noon today E.T., afterwards everyone broke up and went back to their respective businesses, such as work and/or checking their emails and/or posting emails etc.

However, as much as I am in favor of the acquisition theory (tomorrow and 12/11 are the key days), it is important to point out what Ashby said, namely, that ASND had not hired an investment banker. I'm trying to figure out how an acquisition could still be in the works without such an entity having been hired but fact is, he reportedly did say this. Just need to deal with all the facts.

Hmm, so what I surmise is that because there has been no comment we can surmise that the takeover is indeed going to happen. This is supported by the fact that CNBC is no longer covering an old story. Despite the fact that this is the third time that the LU/ASND rumor has surfaced somehow it is more substantial because no one is talking about it.

Did you stop to think that perhaps no one is talking about it because there is nothing to talk about? That CNBC has moved on, and is reporting the "news" not the "olds"?
