If we assume $25M for GX per their statements, and 300K units of 686 at cost ( is $50 reasonable??)that's $15M. That means they sold $40M of MX or approx. 300-400K units.

My understanding was that MX cost would be in $70-80 range. This would still mean a 25-30% margin on MX, 50% on Gx and zero on 686 for a blended 30%.

I am afraid MX pricing could go to sub $100 range in Q1 as AMD ramps up production finally and this for 233 MHZ k6's/MX/Pentiums.

The numbers don't add up unless IBM's wafer price is truly excessive.

Would appreciate your thoughts/analysis going forward on these issues.

Best Regards
