Pravin re "I assume this means that they didn't hit the 233 speed grade." This might be true, but maybe this speed GX is meant to compete with the 200MMX machines and maybe they have learned something from the PR fiasco.

A 200GXm would probably come up short performance wise against a P200MMX because of architecture issues. The extra 20MHz gets some of that difference back and 220MHz sounds faster than 200MHz. Of course we don't know the exact feature set of the GXm yet and I can't believe none of the analysts asked about an announce date, who the new GX customers are, what the 6x86MX ASPs are, etc.

All in all, I thought it was a positive CC, and there was too much emphasis on the CYRX products. After all, the core NSM business beat estimates, but there was not a single focused question on any of the other business segments.

Halla seemed very knowledgeable about the overall PC market. I liked the dig at the Odyssey report that CNET posted recently, and the comment that INTC would have to sell its chips for -$10 to compete.
