I agree somewhat. Nothing is foolproof. However it is amazing to see these stocks hit support and do a U-turn! TA works great with hindsight. I do think you might be using TA tho. Don't you ever look at a chart? That is the simplest form of TA. looking at a price in the newspaper gives no reference point at all. BTW I enjoyed your discussions about market makers in previous posts. I enjoy it when people I don't even know bring good things to the table...just like a Sunday church potluck! eat what ya like!

Flan - about starting a new driller TA thread - I think that will be a bad idea. It is already time consuming to go through dozens of postings on this thread nowadays, a second thread would be even more time consuming. The biggest drawback, however, is people who don't hop over there may miss some useful insight from TA. I have been trying to convey the usefulness of TA to the analysis and prediction of the drillers on this thread for a year now. I believe quite a number of people find it useful and had help them save/make more money. When I started a year ago there was hardly any TA info mentioned on the drillers. In fact I had to "muscled" and fought off some bad mouthing here to get TA info established as part of the norm in playing the market. Granted people who are non-believers may be annoyed by the technical jargon one throws out in the TA analysis. But this annoyance is really minor in the grand scheme of things - make/save more money in playing the drillers. They are just tools, even LT and Jim are more comfortable about TA now. Maybe one thing will help the beginners and non-believer - those who post TA thoughts give a line or two of the layman interpretation or rationale behind their analysis once in a while.

> there is no statistical data that suggests that TA works

Flan,

Are you sure about that?
