I have been an Oxford Freedom plan member for about 5 1/2 months now. As I posted before I did have some problems with getting bills from Oxford in the first couple of months but have gotten bills on time for October, November December. My wife is an Internist and reports that at least at the office where she works there has been no complaints about payments.

I also just took advantage of Oxford's website allowing members to track claims status and found no claims with history starting in October that were accurate.

This leads me to believe that Oxford's computer system problems are probably nearing an end.

On the other hand their services are superior (or at least seem to be superior) to other comparable plans and are very price competitive. Before deciding upon Oxford I did price comparison's with other plans available on Long Island and price wise I believe that Oxford was about $10 more expensive for Husband-Wife than a comparable plan from Vyatra.

From my knowledge of the above and the fact that Oxford has such a huge membership and physician network I believe that Oxford may already be turning around.

The question I ask is why did it took managment until August (indicated by their selling) to get an inkling of what type of mess they had gotten themselves into? Do the problems negate three years of growth (price of the stock is now where it was three years ago)?
