That video was on C-Span last night.

What I remember from that day (I was in 8th grade Catholic school) was while we were lining up to walk over to the church for prayer from the school, one or two of the boys in our grade mocked me because I was apparently showing how sad the news had made me. In the church, the priest came out to let us know he died. That had the nuns breaking out in tears along with quite a few of the kids. We were sent home early.

giving me grief around the stoic way that I took in all the information. Nobody gave me grief but that was my reaction too, so you're not alone there.

I don't remember seeing tv coverage of the JFK assassination at the time so I suppose we didn't have tv yet in '63.
