There are certain events that are stamped indelibly in the collective memory of Americans. The generation of my late parents could tell you exactly where they were when they heard that Pearl Harbor had been bombed and when they heard that Germany and Japan had surrendered. The latter event was of particular importance to my parents (and the yet to be conceived Glenn) as my father was stationed in India at the time. Many of us on Silicon Investor have vivid memories of 9/11.Many of us spent a good portion of that day discussing the horror of that event on this website. The assassination of John F; Kennedy is one of those events. Many of SI’s members are old enough to remember the shock of that day, a shock that was amplified in those pre-Internet days by a lack of information. The 50th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination is going to occur in less than two weeks and I thought that people might want to share their memories of that horrific day. ![]()
