off topic.....Asian Impact: rogue wave or bad tide I, for one, would like to see more discussion of the impact of the asian slowdown(reversal). I happened to hear on the radio that the worse scenario is when the Japanese began to cash in their US bonds; this, in turn, will cause a liquidity crisis here leading to high interest rates...and we all know the bear market mantra from there. I guess my question is; can the IMF and the other international financial "firefighters" really contain this Asian blaze or is it going to leap the lines and go out of control? Are the missed earnings this quarter the first wave in a bad news tide, or simply a rogue wave which has already broken? Valentino
