Northern Cable to use 3Com modems Reuters Story - December 10, 1997 18:34 %PUB %CA %DPR %BUS %US VDO.TO COMS V%REUTER P%RTR ANAHEIM, Calif., Dec. 10 (Reuters) - Northern Cable Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Videotron Groupe Ltee , on Wednesday said it has contracted with 3Com Corp to provide cable modems to its subscribers in Canada. Northern Cable provides cable television services to more than 100,000 subscribers in the northeastern Ontario, Canada, and it expects to add residential Internet service in its 49,000-subscriber Sudbury market in 1998's first quarter. Financial details of the deal were undisclosed.
