TGW >Over on the WDC thread many have been touting the strength of QNTM over WDC. looks like the tables have turned. I don't think so, QNTM is still in much better shape than WDC. About two weeks ago, the QNTM already foreshadowing the warning www1.newsalert.com IMO this is a sign of good management. Both Seagate and Quantum saw the problem of HDD business and attempted to diversify to other area and QNTM has successful result in DLT area while SEG is still struggling (but at least it done what it should have). The earning shortfall partly due to the price competition and low demand of high capacity HDD. See how cheap a Fireball ST and SE is selling, and its performance is on the par with many midrange SCSI! Among the Storage company, I'll rather put my money on QNTM than WDC. I am not buying any of them but I'll say QNTM will give better return or less loss in the next 12 months. aC
